Child's toy project
Year 13 Hard Materials
This technology unit focussed on developing a child's toy for a four year old boy. Brad worked with the boy and his mother as his clients. He researched the technological practice undertaken by two practicing toy makers to inform the practice used to develop a toy that was 'fit for purpose'.
The evidence provided in the documentation and the student practice:
- synthesis and integration of knowledge and skills, ideas, and methods into the student practice;
- justification of the practice undertaken; and
- reflection on the information, understandings and practices that affected the development of the technological outcome.
Brad was awarded Technology Scholarship in 2008.
