SCHOLARSHIP EXEMPLAR << What is this?
Frances Jenkins
Outfit for client with prosthesis
Year 13 Hard Materials
In 2009 Frances Jenkins was awarded a New Zealand Scholarship in Technology for her project designing an outfit for her client who wears a prothesis.
The project focused on the development of an outfit for her client to wear on an overseas trip. The complexities of the situation were explained, including such things as issues around amputation and having a prothesis.
In this reflective report and supporting evidence, Frances has demonstrated synthesis and integration of technological experiences in bringing together knowledge, skills, ideas and methods to allow the successful technological outcome to be realized.
Fances has justified how the technological practice was undertaken and how her technological outcome meets the client's needs.
She has reflected on the information, understandings and practices of practising technologists and how this was used to inform her own practice when developing the outcome for her client.
