Enterprise Links
The Techlink Enterprise Links subsite examines partnerships between schools and local enterprises. There are eight case studies, where teachers and business people reflect from their different perspectives on the links, the reasons for establishing them, the challenges involved, the benefits experienced and issues around sustainability. One of these case studies includes the invaluable senior management perspective of the principal. In addition there are comments from Ken Hird of Wanganui Incorporated about his experiences helping schools create links with local industries.
From these case studies, three key issues emerge: relevance; manageability; and sustainability – these are discussed in Summary – Lessons learnt.
