Te Papa Souvenirs

A Year 11 Materials Technology class was invited to develop a range of prototype souvenir items suitable for sale in the gift shops in Te Papa Tongarewa – The Museum of New Zealand. The students were expected to interact professionally with Te Papa staff and patrons in a high-level public institutional environment, and were involved in Te Papa briefings on aspects of maintaining the standards of the institution and its brand, customer surveys, ongoing interaction with Te Papa staff mentors through the entire outcome development phase and an end-of-year display of their outcomes.
